When I graduated from high school, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. I was interested in becoming a medical technologist, and heard that Mount Union had an outstanding medical technology program.
Nursing Clinicals and Hands-On Learning
Learning occurs inside and outside of the classroom. Nursing students at the University of Mount Union enjoy a variety of opportunities to get involved with extracurricular opportunities to contribute to their personal and professional development.
Experiential Learning
The demands of our healthcare system are challenging and exciting. Nursing students who join the University of Mount Union’s BSN program will have ample opportunities to put their classroom knowledge into practice. They will have extensive opportunities to experience supervised hands-on experience including:
- Laboratory experience
- Clinical experience in various areas including acute care setting, extended care facilities and community settings.
- Observation experiences
- Service learning
Student Organizations
In addition, students have the opportunity to experience residence life at Mount Union through more than 80 campus organizations, 23 intercollegiate athletic teams and an array of special events.
Global Learning
Students are highly encouraged to experience the world outside of their surroundings. The University of Mount Union offers numerous opportunities for students to experience global learning through the University’s study abroad program.
