When I graduated from high school, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. I was interested in becoming a medical technologist, and heard that Mount Union had an outstanding medical technology program.
Nursing Facilities and Equipment
The Nursing program will be housed in a state-of-the-art new Health Science building. The new building will have physical space ideal for instruction for the nursing program. In addition to faculty and staff offices, there is a space for two nursing skills labs equipped with new up-to-date equipment, modern classrooms, student lounge, a simulated intensive care unit, control room and exam prep room.
The skills labs will include six beds, each with a functional hospital-like wall unit, interactive mannequins, IV pumps and other technology and equipment which will enable students to develop and master the nursing skillset required for quality patient care. The intensive care unit will include video equipment, monitors and a simulation mannequin that is monitored by faculty in the control room. The classrooms will be designed to provide network ports for student computer connections, an AV console and flat-panel screens.
Here are some renderings for the new building and nursing space.
