An open house was held for Dr. Jack and Cynthia Ewing on Saturday, May 14 at the President's Home. Visitors, friends and co-workers had the opportunity to bid farewell to the College's tenth president and his wife.
Ewing will be departing the College at the end of June after five effective years as President.
During his presidency, many improvements have been made at the College, such as the construction of Bracy Hall, a $23 million science facility, a new President's Home, and the Gulling Training Center, as well as renovations to the athletic facilities and Tolerton & Hood Hall.
Mount Union also maintained its more than 50 consecutive years of balanced financial operations and enjoyed record fulltime enrollments each year during his presidency.
'Mount Union College is strong, stronger today than at any point in its history,' Ewing said.
