Order a Transcript

Requests for official transcripts must be directed to the Office of the Registrar.  A student’s academic record can be released only at the request of the student.  There are four options to order an official transcript:

  1. Preferred method for Mount Union Graduates:  Submit your request online and pay by credit card through our Purple Raiders alumni web site.  You will need a login account to the alumni site.  If you do not already have one, follow the link at the bottom of the page to request an account.  If you have an account, click here to log in and then request your transcript. .  If you want transcripts sent to multiple recipients, you must submit each request separately.
  2. Preferred method for current Mount Union studentsSubmit a request through Self-Service, the student information system.  Payment will be by credit card.  Multiple recipients require multiple requests.
  3. You may also use the Transcript Request Form and mail or fax it to the Office of the Registrar.  We need your signature on this form.

    Mail: Office of the Registrar
             University of Mount Union
             1972 Clark Avenue
             Alliance OH 44601
             Fax: 330-823-3068

If ordering by mail, please enclose a check for the payment.  If ordering by fax, please follow up with a mailed check to the Office of the Registrar.  (We prefer to avoid sending a bill.)   Make checks payable to University of Mount Union.  For security reasons, we no longer take credit card numbers with this form.
  4. Transcripts may be ordered in person at the Office of the Registrar in Beeghly Hall, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The request must be made by the student; no one else can order your transcript.

There is a $5 charge for each transcript ordered.

A transcript may be sent to a third party designated by the student, or it may be issued directly to the student.  In the latter case, the transcript will be marked "Official Transcript Issued to Student." If such a transcript is being forwarded to a third party, make sure the document will be acceptable.  Many recipients will accept an unopened envelope as still being “official.”

Mount Union now transmits official transcripts electronically via the eScrip-Safe secure network.  We automatically send the electronic version to institutions in the receiving network.  In addition, we can send electronically to any recipient for whom the requestor provides an e-mail address.

Any student or former student who has an outstanding financial obligation to the University will not be able to obtain a transcript until the Business Office authorizes its release. Any questions on financial holds placed on transcripts should be directed to the Business Office.
