Organist Brenda Leach to Present Guest Recital

Organist Brenda Leach will present a guest recital at Mount Union College on Thursday, February 26 at 8 p.m. in the Dewald Chapel.
Leach has a distinguished career as both a conductor and concert organist. She has performed throughout France, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Russia, Bulgaria and the United States. She has appeared as a featured artist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and as a soloist at numerous venues including St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall in Russia, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, Westminster Cathedral in London, Moscow Cathedral in Russia, St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City and St. George's Cathedral in Jerusalem.
An acclaimed conductor as well, Leach is a frequent guest conductor with orchestras throughout Europe and Russia.
Leach earned a master's degree from Harvard University and completed post-graduate studies at the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music in Russia. She holds doctorate and master degrees from the Eastman School of Music as well as the "Premier Prix de Virtuosite" from the Conservatoire de Rueil Malmaison in France where she studied with Grammy award-winning musician Marie-Claire Alain.
In the Boston area, Leach is the artistic director and conductor of the Boston Chamber Orchestra. She is currently on the faculty at Harvard University.
