May 10, 2010
Harry Paidas, director of public relations at Mount Union College since 1983, has been named vice president for public affairs and marketing at the College, according to Dr. John L. Ewing, Jr., Mount Union's president.
As the vice president, Paidas will be leading an integrated marketing effort to more effectively communicate the College's messages. Furthermore, he will be responsible for community, government and church relations.
"Public affairs and marketing are strategic areas for Mount Union College," Ewing said. "It has become evident that we need to deal with issues of public affairs and marketing at a high level and appropriately we have named a person who has excelled in the public relations area and has been a valuable part of the community in Harry Paidas. Harry has a breadth of experience in dealing with public relations issues and he has played a major role in the remarkable success of the College."
A Warren, Ohio native, Paidas is a 1974 graduate of Mount Union and earned the master of science in journalism degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in 1975.
