Federal DL Parent PLUS Loans
The PLUS loan program is available to parents at a fixed rate of 7.9 percent as of June 1. Repayment for the Federal DL PLUS Loan begins 60 days after the second disbursement and continues until the loan is paid in full. Parents also have the option of deferring the payment on the loan until after the student graduates. The parent is the borrower for this loan, and a credit check is completed in this process.
