PA Professional Organizations:

  • The American Academy of Physician Assistants
    The professional organization for Physician Assistants. Vision Statement: “The American Academy of Physician Assistants is the leader in providing support and advocacy for physician assistants, the primary organization advancing the profession, a premier participant in health care transformation, and a passionate champion of patient-centered care.”
  • Physician Assistance Education Association
    PAEA is the only national organization representing physician assistant educational programs in the United States. As of October 2008, all 142 accredited programs in the country had become members of the Association. PAEA provides services for faculty at its member programs, as well as to applicants, students, and other stakeholders. The Association was founded in 1972 as the Association of Physician Assistant Programs.
