Pi Kappa Lambda to Present Faculty Artist Showcase

ALLIANCE, OH – The Theta Omicron chapter of the national Society of Pi Kappa Lambda will host a Faculty Artist Showcase at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10 in the Presser Recital Hall located in Cope Music Hall at the University of Mount Union. Cope is located at the corner of Simpson Street and South Union Avenue.
The program for the showcase will consist of musical works by composers such as Franz Haydn, Pierre DuBois, Astor Piazzolla, Willson Osborne, Antonio Vivaldi and Ludwig van Beethoven. Performing on the faculty showcase will be Dr. Maira Liliestedt, piano; Ronald Hazelett, bass; Ivy Adams, piano; Robin Tryon, flute; Patricia Olsson, alto saxophone; Dr. James Perone, clarinet; and Adam Sarata, guitar.
Pi Kappa Lambda, the only college honor society in music, was admitted into the Association of College Honor Societies in 1940 and now has more than 205 active chapters. Since its chartering on April 29, 1997, the Theta Omicron chapter at the University of Mount Union has dedicated its time and resources to fostering scholarly interest in the theoretical and historical aspects of music, and the pursuit of achievement in performance, composition, music education and research.
