Piano Keys Concert to Take Place November 13

ALLIANCE – The University of Mount Union Department of Music will present a Piano Keys concert featuring the students of Dr. Maria Liliestedt at 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 13 in Presser Recital Hall.

Piano Keys is a piano recital that showcases the performances of advanced piano students and features some of the masterpieces of the piano repertoire. Held every semester on campus, Piano Keys offers an ever-changing variety of piano music performed by the students of Liliestedt.

Participants in Piano Keys this fall include freshman Olivia DeMartino of Canfield, Ohio; pre-college student Alex Drewes of Alliance, Ohio; sophomore Kenan Irish of Painesville, Ohio; sophomore music and religious studies major Mikayla Kovacik of Cadiz, Ohio; senior music education major Demi Lohr of Ravenna, Ohio; freshman Mary Mazey of Canton, Ohio and sophomore Jeffrey Williams of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Students will perform works by a variety of composers, which include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, Muzio Clementi, Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Muczynski, Claude Debussy, Felix Mendelssohn, Sergei Prokofiev and Frédéric Chopin.

Presser Recital Hall is located inside of Cope Music Hall at the intersection of Simpson Street and Union Avenue. This event is free and open to the public.
