Piano Keys Recital to Be Held April 4

The Mount Union College Department of Music will present Piano Keys, a piano recital featuring Courtney Gazda, Marina Iwao, Allyson Oyster, Andrew Potts, Brittni Roach, Shelley Wyzynski and Abigail Sevcik, on Saturday, April 4 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall. They are students of Dr. Maira Liliestedt, assistant professor of music and Janelle Phinney, lecturer of music (piano).

Gazda, a freshman from Parma, is pursuing a degree in music education; Iwao is a freshman music performance major from Fukuoka, Japan. Oyster, a junior from Alliance, is pursuing a degree in music performance with a concentration in collaborative piano; Potts is a junior music performance major from New Philadelphia; Roach, a freshman from Hartville, is pursuing a degree in music performance with piano as her primary instrument and violin as her secondary; Wyzynski is a sophomore music education major from Cuyahoga Falls with an emphasis in piano and voice; and Sevcik, a senior from Minerva, is majoring in music performance with a concentration in piano pedagogy.

The recital will feature works by Franz Joseph Haydn, Ludwig van Betthoven, Robert Schumann, Frederic Chopin, Aram Khachaturian, Feliz Mendelssohn, Edward Grieg, Dmitri Shostakovich and Anton Arensky.
