Piano Keys Recital to be Held March 13

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union Department of Music will present a Piano Keys Recital featuring the students of Dr. Maria Liliestedt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13 in Presser Recital Hall.

Piano Keys is a piano recital that showcases the performances of advanced piano students and features some of the masterpieces of the piano repertoire. Held every semester on campus, Piano Keys offers an ever-changing variety of piano music performed by the students of Dr. Maira Liliestedt, associate professor of music at the University of Mount Union. While Dr. Liliestedt was on sabbatical this semester, the college students were instructed by Dr. Sophié van der Westhuizen.

Student performers include freshman Olivia DeMartino of Canfield, Ohio; Alex Drewes; sophomore music performance major Kenan Irish of Painesville, Ohio; junior music major Mikayla Kovacik of Cadiz, Ohio; freshman Mary Mazey of Canton, Ohio; senior music performance major Paige Morris of Maximo, Ohio and sophomore Jeff Williams of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Presser Recital Hall is located in Cope Music Hall on the corner of Simpson Street and Union Avenue.
