This pre-professional program is designed to prepare students for successful candidacy into their desired health-related professional school, building the foundation of their future careers as:

  • Dentists
  • Pharmacists
  • Optometrists
  • Physical therapists
  • Physician assistants
  • Veterinarians
  • Podiatrists
  • Chiropractors

All students at the University of Mount Union are required to have a major and pre-medical and pre-health students are no different. While there is no preferred major, a majority of pre-med students major in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, exercise science or athletic training. The pre-medicine and pre-health professions advisor will help guide you in taking the appropriate required courses in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and social sciences, as well as the recommended electives in the arts and humanities to successfully prepare you to apply to the health-related professional school of your interest.
