I chose to attend Mount Union because I believed, and still do, that Mount Union would go the furthest in helping me achieve my goals.
Pre-Medicine and Pre-Health Requirements
The pre-medical and pre-health program is not a formal degree but is a flexible curriculum designed to prepare students for professional schools in the health-related fields. The program is designed to prepare students for future careers as doctors, dentists, pharmacists, optometrists, physical therapists, physician assistants, veterinarians, podiatrists and chiropractors. Students will take the appropriate required courses in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and social sciences and recommended electives in the arts and humanities to become highly-successful professional school candidates. All students at the University of Mount Union are required to have a major and pre-medical and pre-health students are no different. While there is no preferred major, a majority of pre-health students major in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, exercise science or athletic training.
