Preparatory Division Musicale to be Held March 6

The Preparatory Division of the Mount Union College Department of Music will present an Ensemble Musicale on Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.
Six pianos will be used on stage with two to nine pianists performing a variety of musical selections including several familiar folk tunes; The Parade of the Tin Soldiers by Jessel; Angel’s Serenade by G. Braga; Chopsticks Here and There arranged by Glover; Over the Rainbow by Arlen; March of the Toys by V. Herbert; Romance by A. Rubinstein; Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Brahms, Malaguena by Lecuona The Ragtimers by Abe Holzman; Maple Leaf Rag by S. Joplin; Stars & Stripes Forever by J.P.Sousa; and Military March by F. Schubert.
The students performing the piano ensembles are from director of the preparatory division Kay Johnson’s studio. Three violinists from instructor of violin Bohdan Subchak’s studio will also perform pieces by N. Rimsky- Korsakov and F. Seitz.
