President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio and Kentucky to Speak at Mount Union Col

Susan F. McConnell, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish of Greater Ohio and Kentucky, will speak at Mount Union College's Campus Grounds on Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m. as part of the National Women's History Month activities.


Susan McConnell has represented the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio and Kentucky for over five years. This is the largest Make-A-Wish Foundation chapter in the country.

McConnell is originally from Seattle, where she spent five years as the marketing director for Make-A-Wish of Washington State. During her tenure there, McConnell worked with over 500 families and children in the Make-A-Wish program.

She has received national coverage for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in several wish stories, has been featured on CBS National Radio, and has participated in the production of an international documentary featuring the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.

The public is welcome to attend. The Campus Grounds are located in the Hoover-Price Campus Center.

Throughout National Women's History Month, Mount Union College students are selling chocolate on campus with all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity at Mount Union College, is also raising money for Make-A-Wish during the month of March.
