Meet the 2016 Preview Guides!

Taylor Affolter
Taylor, a native of New Philadelphia, Ohio, graduated from New Philadelphia high school. She is a junior nursing major with a psychology minor here at Mount Union. On campus, she is a member of the Delta Sigma Tau sorority, serves as a Raider Guide for the Exceptional Beginnings program, and is President of the Student Nursing Organization.

Sam Allread
Sam is a junior sport business major with business and communication minors who is also a native of Akron, Ohio and who graduated from Firestone High School. Sam is a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity as well as the producer/social media correspondent for 91.1 WRMU. He is also a member of the Sport Business Association and a sports writer for the Dynamo. Sam hopes to one day swim with a group of humpback whales and to direct the next Star Wars movie

Tim Anderson
Tim is from North Royalton, Ohio and graduated from North Royalton High School. He is a junior marketing major with a minor in communication. Tim is a member of the Mount Union Concert Choir and is a member of both the American Marketing Association (Raider Creative) as well as the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. Along with being a Preview Guide Coordinator, Tim is highly involved in intramural sports (some would call him a gym class hero).

Angelica Bartholomew
Angelica graduated from Lake High School in Uniontown, Ohio. At Mount Union, Angelica is a sophomore who is majoring in nursing and also is pursuing a minor in art. She is in Delta Sigma Tau, President of Good Vibes Only, and the Nursing Class Representative.  Angelica is also in Concert Choir, Track and Field, and is a Raider Guide.

Andrew Bertagnolli
Andrew is a senior double major in Early Childhood Education with the 4th and 5th endorsement and Psychology. He is from Eastlake, Ohio and graduated from Willoughby South High School. On campus Andrew is the Commander (President) of Sigma Nu fraternity, member of multiple honors programs, and serves as a Raider Guide for the Exceptional Beginnings program.

Allyse Bialosky
Allyse is in the education program majoring in early childhood. She is from Hinckley, Ohio and graduated from Highland High School. Allyse is on the cheerleading team here at Mount Union. She is also involved in Alpha Delta Pi and Love Your Melon.

Chris Brown
Chris is a senior physical education major with an education minor. He is from Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from John Adams high school. Chris is a community educator on campus as well as being a member of SHAPE and serving as a student senate representative. Chris is also a brother of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.

Emily Bryan
Emily is a double major in Marketing in Management with a minor in Communications.  She is originally from Kensington, Ohio and a graduate from Carrollton High School. Emily has gotten involved in several organizations at Mount Union such as Alpha Chi Omega, Up til’ Dawn, Love Your Melon, and as a Raider Guide.

Ali Caldwell
Ali graduated from Stow-Munroe Falls High School and is from Stow, Ohio. She is majoring in nursing with a minor in theatre at Mount Union. In addition to her classes, Ali keeps busy as a member of the Concert Choir, Greek Life, Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, and the UMU theatre department. She works as a student ambassador and a Raider Guide in addition to Preview.

Christopher Campbell
Chris is from Broadview Hts, Ohio and graduated from Brecksville Broadview Hts. High School. He is a sophomore double majoring in International Affairs and Diplomacy and in German. Chris is a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, serves as a Raider Guide for the Exceptional Beginnings program, and is an active member of both the University’s marching band and concert band.

Will Clay
Will is a class of 2019 biochemistry student at Mount Union and is from Westlake, Ohio. Along with his classes, he is a brother of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, the Vice President of the Alpha Lambda Delta honors society, a class representative for Student Senate and a cheerleader.

Morgan Cmunt
Morgan is from Lordstown, Ohio and graduated from Lordstown high school. She is a sophomore with a major in sociology and criminal justice. Morgan has gotten involved on campus as a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority and the Student Alumni Association.

Leah Custer
Leah is from Lancaster, Ohio and is currently a sophomore pursuing a degree in Nursing. She is a brother of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, a member of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, and a member of the Student Nursing Organization. She is also heavily involved in Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), Black Student Union (BSU), and intramural sports.

Zachary Dozier
Zach originates from Dover, Ohio and graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School. He is a sophomore who is majoring in mechanical engineering with minors in math and physics. On Campus, Zach is a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, a Raider Guide for the Exceptional Beginnings program, and the president of the Alpha Lambda Delta freshman honorary.

Hannah Ferguson
Hannah is a sophomore originally from Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Westerville North High School, and is now majoring in Early Childhood Education, with a minor in Mathematics for Education. At Mount Union, Hannah is a member of the Women’s Basketball team, and also a Community Educator. She is an active member of the Black Student Union (BSU), Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

AJ Fisher
AJ is a junior who is pursuing a double major in marketing and management. He grew up in Ravenna, Ohio and graduated from Archbishop Hoban high school where he played baseball for 4 years. At Mount Union, AJ has kept busy by getting involved as a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, a member of the American Marketing Association, Raider Guide for the Exceptional Beginnings program, and Vice President of the Interfraternity Council

Bradley Geist
Bradley is a junior who graduated from New Philadelphia high school in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He is pursuing major in Criminal Justice with minors in computer network security and psychology. Bradley also keeps busy by being involved in the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and the Mount Union Concert Choir.

Shelby Gerwin
Shelby graduated from Port Clinton High School in Port Clinton, Ohio. She is a junior pursuing a major in accounting and minoring in business administration. To get involved on campus, Shelby is the Executive Vice President of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and is a member of many organizations including the Student Alumni Association and GAMMA. She also participates in intramurals and is the secretary of TOMS Club.

Gretchen Groves
Gretchen graduated from Louisville High School and is currently majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Communications.  She is on the Raiders Women’s Tennis Team and hopes to one day play tennis against Serena Williams.  Gretchen is also a member of the Exercise Science Club and Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society.  In her free time, Gretchen enjoys dancing and ping pong.

Nic Hendryx
Nic hails from Braceville, Ohio and graduated from LaBrae high school. He is a junior who is majoring in economics with minors in business and political science. Nic is a member of the Mount Union College Republicans as well as the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He also is a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha political science honorary.

Matt Jones
Matt is from Greenville, Pennsylvania and graduated from Greenville high school. He is a junior pursuing majors in Finance and Sport Business and a minor in Economics. He is involved on campus as a Community Educator, a brother of Phi Kappa Tau, and the treasurer of the Sport Business Association.

Jessica Kulas
Jess is from Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Willoughby South High School. She is a sophomore majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in psychology. On campus she is involved as the President of Inspire Mount Union, event coordinator of the Psychology club, along with being on the Preview and Raider Guide staff.

Ben Lewis
Ben is from Norwalk, Ohio and graduated from Highland high school. He is a junior who is majoring in biochemistry with a minor in biology. On campus, Ben has gotten involved as a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity and the Pre-health club. He is also a tutor for chemistry and an Exceptional Beginnings Raider Guide.

Lou Marich, Jr.
Lou is from Seven Hills, Ohio and graduated from Padua Franciscan High School. He is a sophomore who is majoring in Human Development and Family Science and minoring in Entrepreneurship. On campus, Lou involves himself as a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, the American Marketing Association, and the Psychology Club. He is also an Exceptional Beginnings Raider Guide and a Senior Overnight Host.

Mallory Marsico
Mallory is from Olmsted Falls, Ohio and is a graduate from Olmsted Falls High School.  She is an early childhood education major and is getting her 4/5 endorsement. She is also planning to minor in intervention. She is involved in Alpha Chi Omega and Love Your Melon.  

Michaela Maus
Michaela is from Cortland, Ohio and graduated from Lakeview high school. She is currently a sophomore pursuing a major in exercise science with a minor in psychology. Michaela is the Public Relations Chair of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, on the Relay for Life Committee, and Up 'til Dawn Executive Board. She is a part of the Emerging Leaders program and Fellowship of Christian Student Athletes. She is also a member of Student Alumni Association and TOMs Club.

Kelly McMahon
Kelly graduated from Waterloo high school in Randolph, Ohio. She is a senior early childhood education major with minors in communication and Intervention. Kelly is also a majorette for the marching band and is a Recruitment Counselor. She is also involved in the Raider Relief service organization and serves as an Exceptional Beginnings Raider Guide

Rosalie Morrison
Rosalie is from Fairview Park, Ohio and graduated from Fairview High School. She is a junior with a major in sport business and minors in business administration and psychology. Rosalie is involved on campus as a sister in the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, a member of the sport business association and serves as the campus event director for Relay for Life.

Matthew Mullan
Matthew is a junior from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who graduated from Peters Township high school. He is pursuing a major in integrated media and two minors in American Studies and Psychology. On campus, Matt has gotten involved by working at WRMU, the campus radio station, and is a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.

Hunter Munroe
Hunter graduated from Van Wert high school in Van Wert, Ohio. He is a senior with a major in history and a minor in adolescent to young adult education. Hunter is member of the Mount Union Concert Choir, a Community Educator, and a leader of CRU, a Christian movement on campus.

Bella Pecchia
Bella is a sophomore biology major with a chemistry minor. She hails from North Ridgeville, Ohio where she graduated from North Ridgeville high school. Bella is a member of the UMU Women’s basketball team and has gotten involved as a student senate class representative and a member of the pre-physician’s assistant and pre-health clubs.

Steven Phipps
Steven is a junior sports business major from North Huntingdon, PA where he graduated from Norwin High School.  Steven is the current president of SAE and is very involved in Greek life around campus.  Steven is pursuing a career in sports ticketing sales and hopes to work for a professional sports team someday.

Chelsea Posterli
Chelsea is a senior theatre and public relations double major from Austintown, OH. She is involved in a variety of student organizations on campus such as PRSSA, The Dynamo, Delta Sigma Tau, Mount Union Players, and participates in theatre productions.

Mitchell Ray
Mitch is a junior from Alliance, Ohio and graduated from Marlington High School. He is pursuing a degree in middle childhood education with a minor in history and has gotten involved as a member of campus Crusade for Christ (or CRU). Mitch also plays intramural sports, gives tours of campus for the Admission Office as a Student Ambassador and is a member of the 91.1 WRMU Sports Team.

Rebecca Rector
Becca is a junior from Harrisville, Ohio. She graduated from Buckeye Local High School and is now pursuing a major in exercise science as well as minors in biology and psychology. Becca is a member of the Exercise Science Club, serves as the student senate representative for the Inter-Science Research Club, and is an executive member of Inspire Mount Union. She is also an active member of Delta Sigma Tau.

Cody Rohaley
Cody is from Salem, Ohio and graduated from United Local High School. He is majoring in marketing, with minors in leadership and economics. Cody is a brother of the Epsilon Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau where he serves as its Vice President, a member of Raider Creative, Mount Union’s chapter of the American Marketing Association, and gives tours of campus as a Student Ambassador in the Admission Office.

Abbey Schlanz
Abbey is a junior from Shadyside, Ohio, who graduated from St. John Central High School. She is now double majoring in English literature and writing with a minor in art. Abbey is a co-editor of the Calliope literary magazine, vice-president of English Society, member of Kappa Phi, and WRMU R91 co-host of “The Alternative.”

Caitie Shimp
Caitie is a senior from Hartville, Ohio. She graduated from St.Thomas Aquinas high school and is now majoring in psychology with minors in communication and intervention. Caitie is a member of the Black Student Union Executive Board, the Student Senate Executive Board, Diversity Council, and Psi ChI, which is an honorary society for Psychology majors. She is also the TIE (Together Initiating Excellence) program student coordinator and serves as a Raider Guide.

Clinton W. Simmons III
Clinton graduated from Clearview high school in Lorain, Ohio. Currently, he is a senior pursuing a major in Political Science with minors in Legal Studies and International Affairs and Diplomacy. Clinton has gotten involved as a member of the pre-law society, the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, the Regula Scholars, and the Student Senate Executive Board. He is also a member of the Concert Choir and is the Vice President of the Order of Omega, which is an honor society for fraternity men and sorority women.
