Prints and Paintings on Display in Art Gallery

Prints and paintings by artist Nicholas Hill entitled “The Dresden Journals” is currently on display in Crandall Art Gallery on the University of Mount Union’s campus through Friday, December 10.
Hill currently teaches printmaking and drawing classes as well as directs the Frank Museum of Art at Otterbein University. His art has been featured in over 100 exhibitions in the United States and abroad.
The recipient of grants from the Ohio Arts Council, the Greater Columbus Arts Council, the New York State Council on the Arts, the Kansas Arts Commission and Artists Space-New York City, Hill’s work is represented in public collections for the Library of Congress, the New York Historical Society and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. He has also been granted two international residencies as well as four residencies in the United States.
An artists’ reception will be held Thursday, November 11 from 4 – 6 p.m. in the Gallery.
Crandall Art Gallery is located within Cope Music Hall, on the corner of Simpson Street and Union Avenue. The Gallery is free and open to the public. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 – 6 p.m.
