Teaching Area(s): Psychology and Neuroscience

With respect to interesting curricula, in addition to integrating service-learning projects into my own courses, I served on the University’s General Education Task Force since its inception and continue to serve as a member of the Integrative Core Advisory Board.

Testimonials from Psychology Majors

"I cannot say enough positive things about being a psychology major at the University of Mount Union. Since eighth grade I knew that I wanted to study psychology at college, but I never knew that I would attend Mount Union or have the excellent experience that I have had so far. I can say that without a doubt, I have thoroughly enjoyed my years here and it has only been enriched by psychology. I have learned so much from the diverse course offerings, I’ve taken industrial and organizational psychology, abnormal, behavioral neuroscience, drugs and behavior, social psychology, and social responsibility and personal wellbeing. Among all of the professors on campus, I think that the psychology department is the most caring, compassionate, and inspiring towards their students. While the department has gone through some faculty changes, I am thrilled to see how well integrated everyone is. My advisor has helped me be the academic success I am now and has offered me a lot of personal insight on being a psychology major. Because of her I took on the role of president of the psychology honorary Psi Chi as well as Psychology Club.  Psychology is so applicable and diverse that it was a pleasure to experience so many different courses and I can’t wait for what the future brings. I know that the experiences I’ve had here at Mount Union, and specifically within the Psychology department, will allow me to be a confident and successful adult."
