Rebecca Hill Recognized with Charles J. Ping Award

ALLIANCE, Ohio — University of Mount Union student Rebecca Hill, a senior middle childhood education major of East Palestine, OH, was among 10 Ohio students to be recognized with the Charles J. Ping Award during the University’s Honors Convocation on Tuesday, April 17.

The Charles J. Ping Award was designed to recognize and honor undergraduate students’ outstanding leadership and contributions to community service on their campus and within their community. The award is granted annually to undergraduates from Ohio Campus Compact member institutions who exhibit outstanding leadership in their community service endeavors both on their campus and within their community.

At Mount Union, Hill participates in the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), Campus Crusade for Christ, Kappa Delta Pi and Student National Education Association. She is a community educator, has been named to the Dean’s List and is a recipient of the Paleontology Prize.
