Recognition Dinner Held to Thank 1846 Society Members

A dinner recognizing members of Mount Union's 1846 Society for their generous support of the College's Annual Fund was held at Glenmoor Country Club in Hartville on Friday, August 31.
Randy Hunt '75, chair of the Development Committee of the Mount Union College Board of Trustees, was master of ceremonies for the evening. He welcomed all in attendance and thanked everyone for helping make the 2006-2007 Annual Fund a success. Marilyn (Jackson '58) King offered the invocation.
Kimberly (Terrill '99) Rodstrom, director of annual giving programs, took the opportunity to thank members of the 1846 Society for their support. $1,289,494 was raised, surpassing the goal of $1.285 million.
'The 1846 Society represents the cream of the crop when it comes to philanthropy at Mount Union College,' said Dr. Richard F. Giese, president of the College. 'We are grateful for your leadership giving because it is through your caring that we carry forth the concept of Mount Union as family.'
Luke Messner '09, a political science major from Dalton reflected on his experiences as a Mount Union student. He thanked the numerous donors for their support and offered remarks on the concept of giving back.
