RecycleMania Begins at Mount Union

February 03, 2015

ALLIANCE, Ohio – RecycleMania, an international waste reduction and recycling competition, began February 7 and runs through April 2 at the University of Mount Union.

Mount Union will be representing the OAC in the competition division and over the next eight weeks will compete with other schools in more than 10 different competition categories. During RecycleMania, students are encouraged to recycle materials.

On Monday, February 8 through Friday, February 12 students are encouraged to visit the Green Raider’s “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” Pledge Tables in HPCC and KHIC to make a pledge for the eight-week Recyclemania competition.

Watch Ennouncements each week for special Recycling Collection opportunities and events hosted by the Green Raiders throughout the eight weeks.

In addition to the international competition, Mount Union is hosting an internal RecycleMania competition between residence halls. The residence hall that recycles the most per person by week four of the competition will receive preference in the ranking system used for the housing lottery.
