Repertory Strings and Master Chorale Concert to be Held December 10

The Mount Union College Repertory Strings and Master Chorale will present a concert on Thursday, December 10 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.
The concert will include selections from “The Messiah” with featured student and faculty soloists.
Conducting the concert will be Dr. Elaine Anderson, associate professor of music. Anderson teaches cello, bass, chamber music, theory and music appreciation classes. She earned a bachelor of music degree in string education from Concordia College, a master of music degree in performance and theory from the Manhattan School of Music and a doctorate of music degree in cello performance from the University of Alabama. She has been a featured soloist with orchestras in Minnesota, Alabama, Ohio and South America.
Founded by Anderson in 1998, the Repertory Strings is a small chamber orchestra made up of Mount Union students, string faculty, advanced high school players and invited community members. The Master Chorale is directed by Dr. Scott Dorsey, professor of music.
