Repertory Strings Concert To Be Held At Mount Union College

Jennifer Cancio, Sarah Craig, Jennifer Fanslau, Matt Graef, Mairen Henriksen, Yoko Kikutani, and Cassandra Weber; violists Adam Deen and Amanda Farley; and cellists Nathan England and Michelle Murray. They are conducted by Dr. Elaine Anderson, assistant professor of music at Mount Union. Dr. James Perone, associate professor of music at Mount Union, is the featured faculty soloist. The group will accompany Perone on the Cimarosa concerto. Sibelius' Andante Festivo and Handel's Concerto Grosso Opus 6, No. 3 which features Mount Union senior soloists Jennifer Cancio, Nathan England and Yoko Kitutani, are also on the program.
The Repertory Strings was founded in 1998 by Dr. Elaine Anderson, assistant professor of music at Mount Union College. At Mount Union, Anderson teaches cello, bass, chamber music, theory and music appreciation classes. She earned her doctorate of music degree in cello performance from the University of Alabama, her master of music in performance and theory from the Manhattan School of Music and her bachelor of music degree in string education from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She has been the featured soloist with orchestras in Minnesota, Alabama, Ohio and South America.
