Repertory Strings Concert to be Held February 23

The Mount Union College Repertory Strings will present a concert on Tuesday, February 23 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

Conducting the concert will be Dr. Elaine Anderson, associate professor of music. Anderson teaches cello, bass, chamber music, theory and music appreciation classes. She earned a bachelor of music degree in string education from Concordia College, a master of music degree in performance and theory from the Manhattan School of Music and a doctorate of music degree in cello performance from the University of Alabama. She has been a featured soloist with orchestras in Minnesota, Alabama, Ohio and South America.

Founded by Anderson in 1998, the Repertory Strings is a small chamber orchestra made up of Mount Union students, string faculty, advanced high school players and invited community members.
