Repertory Strings to Perform February 22

The Repertory Strings will present a concert under the direction of Dr. Elaine Anderson, associate professor of music, in the Presser Recital Hall of Mount Union College on Wednesday, February 22 at 8 p.m.
Dr. Susan Haddox, assistant professor of religion will be performing on violin accompanied by the concertmaster, Natalie Deen and guest artists Christine Garra and Sarah Craig. Student performers include senior Emily Foley on viola and freshmen Justine Endress and Maria Fesz on cello. Guest artist Adam Deen will also perform on viola.
The ensemble will perform works by Henry Purcell, Johann Jacob Froberger, J.S. Bach, Anton Dvor'k and Jean Berger.
The Repertory Strings was founded in 1998 by Dr. Elaine Anderson, who teaches cello, bass, chamber music, theory, music appreciation, orchestral literature and string methods classes. She earned a doctorate of music degree in cello performance from the University of Alabama, a master of music degree in performance and theory from the Manhattan School of Music and a bachelor of music degree in string education from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
