Rise Against Hunger Awareness Event Coming to Mount Union

April 13, 2017

ALLIANCE, OH—Join Mount Union students and members of the Alliance community on April 19 as a representative from the non-profit organization Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) shares the organization’s mission and addresses global hunger. While everyone is welcome, the campus organization with the most members in attendance will have a $100 check made out to Rise Against Hunger in their name. This awareness event will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Newbold Room, located in the Hoover-Price Campus Center, and end at 5:30 p.m.

At this awareness event, Andrew Moser, a representative from the non-profit organization Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) will speak about global hunger and share their mission to eliminate this solvable problem. In addition to the speaker, the organization with the greatest student representation at the event will have a $100 check made out to Rise Against Hunger in their name.

Andrew Moser is the Community Engagement Manager for Rise Against Hunger's greater Pittsburgh region. He has been with Rise Against Hunger since finishing his MSA in 2014. He is passionate about mobilizing our abundant resources to completely eradicate hunger worldwide. Andrew looks forward to the day when he is out of a job because this goal has been accomplished.
