Ronald Taylor?s ?Points of Departure? to be Displayed in Crandall Art Gallery

The work of artist Ronald Taylor, 'Points of Departure,' will be on display in Mount Union College's Crandall Art Gallery from October 2-30.
The native of Toledo, OH, Taylor spent much of his childhood exploring the collections of the Toledo Museum of Art and participating in numerous youth art programs. His family and teachers then encouraged him to pursue his creative ability to a higher level.
He earned a bachelor's degree in graphic design and a master's degree in painting from The Ohio State University.
His international exhibitions include 'Common Ground,' a joint American/Israeli exhibition of contemporary landscape imagery, a Chinese/American exchange exhibition and 'Art for the Embassies,' where his work was on display at the Corcoran Museum and Embassies in Asia and South America.
Taylor has been a participant in numerous international, national and solo exhibitions. Some of his art work is a part of public and corporate collections at locations including The Butler Institute of American Art, Akron Art Museum and The Ohio Bar Association.
His drawings have been accepted in the Drawing Society National Exhibition and at the National Drawing Competitions at Bucknell University and Ball State University.
A reception will be held in honor of Taylor on Saturday, October 7 from 4-6 p.m. at the Gallery, and the community is invited to attend.
Crandall Art Gallery is located within Cope Music Hall, on the corner of Simpson Street and Union Avenue. The Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1-6 p.m. The Gallery is free and open to the public.
