Run-a-MUC Race a Success
October 18, 2012
University of Mount Union senior sport business major Samantha Sanson was this year’s Run-A-MUC Race coordinator, organizing and planning another successful event for alumni, students and friends of the institution.
More than 150 racers participated on the crisp fall morning, starting to the whistle of Alumni Association President Aaron Swartz.
“It ended up going really well,” Sanson said. “It was a really great real-life experience that I will take with me after I graduate. Being organized was key, and recognizing that it was my responsibility to be on top of all of the details helped me to accomplish the task at hand”.
“I felt that getting commitments from both volunteers and sponsors was the hardest part, but also probably the part that taught me the most going forward. In the real world, when working events such as these, things don’t happen unless you work hard toward making them successful. I am very proud of the race and our outcomes this year.”
