Scenes from the West on Display in Art Gallery
October 06, 2010
The work of artist Brent Fraser entitled “Scenes from the West” is currently on display in Crandall Art Gallery on the University of Mount Union’s campus through Thursday, October 28.
A native of California, Fraser focuses his photography on natural surroundings. With a gallery that includes photos of Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Eastern Sierra and a variety of other locations in the western United States, Fraser is still capturing the beauty of the outdoors continuously.
“I love being outdoors and experiencing the beauty of the world around us,” Fraser said. “I would be out there with or without the camera, but I really enjoy the process of creating the images and trying to find the scene within the scene and capturing the moment.”
An artists’ reception will be held Thursday, October 7 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Gallery.
Crandall Art Gallery is located within Cope Music Hall, on the corner of Simpson Street and Union Avenue. The Gallery is free and open to the public. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 – 6 p.m.
