Jason and Joy Marr, who are appearing again this summer with the Ohio Shakespeare Festival in Akron, are both founding members of the company.
Currently based in New York, the couple has a wide range of credits in off-Broadway and regional theater, including Porthouse Theater at Blossom Music Center. Most recently they were involved in an adaptation of Eugene O'Neill's "Mourning Becomes Electra," which Jason directed.
A 1997 graduate of Mount Union College, where he appeared in several productions, Jason recently completed work on a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting at Indiana University. He has appeared on TV's "Law and Order." For Ohio Shakespeare Festival later this season, the Marrs will be on stage as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth in Shakespeare's tragic "Macbeth," July 28-30 and Aug. 3-5.
Also appearing with Ohio Shakespeare Festival in both "Much Ado About Nothing" and "Macbeth" is recent Mount Union graduate Jamie De Monte.
