Send-Off Planned for Mount Union College Football Team

A send-off for the Mount Union College football team will be held at the Wable-Harter Building on Wednesday, December 17 prior to the departure of the team at 2:40 p.m. The Wable-Harter Building is located north of Mount Union Stadium.
The team will be heading for Salem, Virginia to play in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl for the NCAA Division III National Championship against Saint John's University (MN) on Saturday, December 20. The game will be televised at 11 a.m. on ESPN2.
Fans are being encouraged to gather near the buses to see the team off. Similar sendoffs have helped launch successful bids for the national championship in 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2002.
