September 11: Remember. Support. Celebrate.
September 10, 2010
Remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 by attending a brief ceremony. The ceremony will include music and presentations by the Mount Union choir and band, Captain Steven Griffin and Student Senate President Adam Hood. Members of the Mount Union community will also be ringing the memorial bell at 8:46, 9:03, 9:37 and 10:03 a.m. in remembrance of each plane that hit the World Trade Center. This event is being coordinated by the Ralph and Mary Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement.
Support our newest, youngest and most vulnerable population - infants, toddlers and preschoolers - by painting slates filled with positive and encouraging quotes, designs and child-friendly pictures while using prompts to jump start discussion surrounding early childhood issues. A list of local resources will be attached to the back and the slates will be passed out to new parents and parents with young children. This event is being coordinated by the Ralph and Mary Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement.
