April 22, 2010
Mount Union College's Service Day, held November 2, has resulted in $2,141 being raised for the Alliance Chapter of the Salvation Army.
Student-Athlete Advisory Council President Julie Gage (left), along with SAAC Vice President Mike Miller (right), presented a check to Richard Jones (center), a member of the Advisory Council of the Salvation Army.
Organized by the College's Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), Service Day consisted of a number of activities to benefit the Salvation Army. On that day, proceeds were donated from the pre-game brunch, game-day football ticket sales, sponsored cheerleader pushups, President Jack Ewing's pushups sponsored by Cockrill's Studios, and funds from individuals of the various Mount Union College athletic teams.
The check was presented recently by SAAC President Julie Gage and Vice-President Mike Miller to Richard Jones, a member of the Advisory Council of the Salvation Army.
