Shade Tree Commission is Topic of October 27 CLP Session

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The final Continued Learning Program (CLP) session of October feature the Alliance Shade Tree Commission at 10 a.m. on Tuesday October 27 in the East Room of the Hoover Price Campus Center.
Speakers will be Shade Tree Commission members Mike Greiner and Leigh Mainwaring.
Greiner started working as property manager at the Alliance Nature Center after his graduation from Mount Union in 2002. During his time at the Nature Center, he has overseen various projects, including a new parking area, building renovations, barn rehabilitation and land purchases. In addition, Greiner is a certified arborist by the International Society of Arboriculture.
Mainwaring, a 1970 graduate of Mount Union, has more than 30 years of experience in Information Systems at Liberty Mutual Insurance, Borden, Inc. and Ball State University. She serves as chair of the Alliance Shade Tree Commission and the YWCA Carnation Scramble, a member of food and fundraising committees for the Alliance Community Panty and a volunteer at University of Mount Union alumni events.
CLP sessions are free and open to the public. Following the speakers, attendees are welcome to stay for lunch in the Kresge Dining Commons for a cost of $6.75.
