Hands-On Learning
Students can intern at hospitals, police and probation departments; county prosecutor’s and public defender’s offices; agencies that treat alcoholism, drug abuse and mental illness; business corporations; non-profit organizations; retirement centers and nursing homes; and state and private agencies that work with juvenile delinquency, spousal abuse and children.
Organizations Students have the opportunity to get involved in the more than 80 organizations at Mount Union including the Sociology Club and Pi Gamma Mu, a national social science honorary.
Events The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice frequently brings sociology graduates of Mount Union back to campus to discuss opportunities in the field with current students.
