David Hellstrom, director of education and training for The BACCHUS and GAMMA Peer Education Network, will be speaking on Tuesday, October 7 at 10:35 a.m. in the Mount Union Theatre.
Over the past decade, Hellstrom has served as spokesperson for healthy choices regarding alcohol and other wellness education issues. He has produced many programs over the years covering a range of topics such as sexual assault, illicit drug use, domestic violence and high risk drinking.
Hellstrom uses "Peer Theatre," a non-threatening method using comedic and dramatic tactics to deliver his message to the audience.
Hellstrom's award wining seminars have been featured on many campuses across the country for events such as health and alcohol awareness week, residence life training, orientation and Greek life seminars.
Through his programs, Hellstrom encourages his audience to act "from the heart" when faced with ethical decisions.
