January 21, 2015

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union has announced speakers for the spring 2015 LINC luncheon series.

Speakers are as follows:

January 27 – Dr. Lori Kumler, assistant professor of political science and international studies, who will present “Environmental Sustainability and Government: Lessons from Nature.”

February 24 – Dr. Keith Miller, assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry, who will present “Discoveries and Cures: Preparing the Future Generation of Scientists and Medical Professionals.”

March 24 – Professor Harry Paidas, associate professor of communication, Chair of the Department of Communication and Director of the Regula Center, who will present “Modern Communication: It’s Greek to Me.”

LINC (lunch, information, networking and conversation) lectures provide a meal and discussions on relevant topics that faculty members are concerned with as well as interaction between the Mount Union and Alliance communities. LINC luncheons are held at noon on the fourth Tuesdays of the month in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center at Mount Union.

The cost to attend an individual event is $10; there is also a seasonal package for $50. A season pass guarantees a saved spot at each event and includes three more LINC lectures to be held in the fall. Payment is accepted prior to the event by check via mail; tickets can also be purchased at the door, but advanced reservations are required.
