Stark County Honors Flute Choir to Perform

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Stark County Honors Flute Choir will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24 in Presser Recital Hall at the University of Mount Union.

The event will feature students from high schools around Stark County and Mount Union.

Students are nominated for inclusion in the group by their band directors and flute instructors. Members are Amanda Dean, West Branch; Sophie Fonte, Hoover; Keliah Mason, West Branch; Maddie Muller, Sandy Valley; Alicia O’Neill, Lake; Alison Prexta, Lake; Kaylen Sanor, West Branch; Kassie Steed, West Branch; Morgan Studer, Minerva; Breana Tompulis, Minerva; Laura Tweedie, Lake; Liana Westerman, Hoover; Allison Zuk, Dover; Lisa Price, community member and Heather Rice and Brianna Searing, Mount Union music majors.

The Flute Choir will present selections by Melvin Lauf, Jr., Gustav Holst, George Phillip Telemann, Catherine McMichael, Paul P. Bliss and Steven Tung.

The group will be assisted by Mount Union piano lecturer Kathy Reichenberger.

Presser Recital Hall is located on the corner of Union Avenue and Simpson Street. Due to ongoing construction at the site of the new Performing Arts Complex, no on-site parking is available behind the building. Alternate parking is available on Simpson and Vincent Streets and in the Eells Art Center parking lot, as well as in other campus parking lots. The event is free and open to the public.
