Stark County Honors Flute Choir to Perform at Mount Union College

The Stark County Honors Flute Choir will perform at Mount Union college in Presser Recital Hall at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 24.

The choir is under the direction of Robin Tryon.  Members from area high schools include Josette Aquino, Lauren Baker and Amanda Chaney of GlenOak; Janelle Heinle, Morgan McHale and Catherine Morris of Hoover; Erin Huemme and Stephanie Kutcher of Jackson; Sarah Charlton of Massillon; Sabrina Detchon of Minerva; Tori Swejk and Anna Zotta of Perry; Mellay Gardner and Christna Pietrzak of Salem; Kelsey Klein of Tuslaw and Abigail Dombrowski, home schooled.

Assisting will be high school band directors, private flute instructors and the Mount Union Flute Choir.

The choir will perform pieces by Steven Tung, Victor Wong, J.S. Bach, Charles Gounod, Melvin Lauf Jr. and James V. Monaco.
