Stark County Honors Flute Choir to Perform at Mount Union College April 20

Twenty-four of the area's finest high school flutists will be in concert at Mount Union College Thursday, April 20 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.


This select group of flutists was selected for inclusion in the ensemble by private teachers and high school band directors throughout Stark County. Selections will include pieces by Palestrina, Bach, Faure, Dubois, and McMichael.

The flute choir is under the direction of Robin Tryon, lecturer of music and private music instructor of flute at Mount Union. Assisting will be Jacklyn Kurtz, a junior music education major of Hudson on harp and Amanda-Joyce Abbott, lecturer of music and private music instructor of voice. Also performing will be flute instructors Julie Sarver, Lisa McCleaster, Judy Hall and Tryon.
