Statehouse Bureau Chief to Speak at Mount Union

Marc Kovac, statehouse bureau chief for Dix Newspapers, will speak at the Continued Learning Program on Tuesday, October 11 at 10 a.m. in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center on the University of Mount Union’s campus.
 
For more than 18 years, Kovac has worked as a reporter and editor at daily newspapers. He also earned a degree in journalism from Ball State University.
 
A Chicago native, Kovac will talk about covering politics at the Ohio Statehouse and Senate Bill 5, the controversial collective bargaining law to be decided by voters in November.
 
Those attending are welcome to stay for lunch in the Kresge Dining Commons ($6.50) or B&B Café (a la carte) following the session.
 
The Continued Learning Program sessions, which are all free and open to the public, include a variety of presentations and current perspectives, as well as time for questions and discussion. Additional sessions have been scheduled for October 18 and 25.
