Students to Perform Joint Piano Recital

Two University of Mount Union students will perform a joint piano recital on Wednesday, April 6 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.
Brittni Roach, junior music performance major of Hartville, Ohio and Courtney Gazda, junior music education major of Parma, Ohio, will perform works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johannes Brahms and Frederic Chopin, among others.
Roach is a member of the Alliance Symphony Orchestra, Repertory Strings, Tuscarawas Philharmonic, Mu Phi Epsilon (music honorary), Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association (OCMEA), Association of Women Students (AWS) and Alpha Lambda Delta. Upon graduation, she plans to further her education in the field of music history.
Gazda is a member of the Mount Union Choir, Mu Phi Epsilon (music honorary) and Women’s Chorus. She is also the recipient of Charles A. Linaberger '62 Endowed Choir Scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year. In May, Gazda will travel to Italy with the Mount Union Choir for its international tour, and plans to pursue a master’s degree in conducting upon graduation.
