Study Abroad Programs

Through the University of Mount Union, you have the opportunity to study abroad to earn academic credit. You can study abroad or you can do your student teaching abroad.

Students who wish to study abroad can do so in one of twenty-seven different countries. Depending on the country of interest to you, you can choose to go for part of the summer, the entire summer, a semester, or year. Your study abroad experience might be part of a Mount Union direct exchange program or the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC).

Education majors who wish to do their student teaching abroad, can choose from seven countries. Visit the Global Student Teaching website to learn more information. Students should make sure they talk to staff in the Center for Global Education (globaled@mountunion.edu) and Dr. Tom Gannon (gannontw@mountunion.edu) in the education department about how to make this option a reality.

Australia

Through USAC, Mount Union sends students to one of two different universities in Australia.

Canada

Through a Mount Union direct exchange program with the University of Quebec, students have the option of studying in Canada.

Chile

Through USAC, Mount Union sends students to a university in Santiago, Chile.

China

Through a Mount Union direct exchange program with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and through USAC Mount Union  students can study abroad at universities in Chengdu and Shanghai.

Costa Rica

Through USAC, Mount Union sends students to one of three different universities in Costa Rica.

Cuba

 Through USAC, Mount Union sends students to Havana.

Through USAC, Mount Union sends students to a university in Prague.

Denmark

Through USAC, Mount Union sends students of business and economics to Copenhagen, Denmark.

England

There are six different options for students wishing to study abroad in England. Mount Union offers a direct exchange program with the University of Essex for students with at least a 3.0 GPA who are history, political science, and international studies majors. Through USAC, Mount Union students can also study abroad at universities in Brighton, Bristol, Reading, and London.

France

Through a Mount Union direct exchange program with the University of Rouen and a USAC program in Pau, students have two options if they wish to study in France.

Germany

Through Mount Union direct exchange programs with the University of Bamberg and the University of Passau and a USAC program in Luneburg, students have three options if they wish to study in Germany.

Ghana

Greece

Through a Mount Union direct exchange program with American College of Thessaloniki, students have the option of studying in Greece.

Through USAC, Mount Union students can study abroad in two different sites in Ireland.
