Sturgeon Music Library
Sturgeon Music Library, given in memory of Bertha Fogg Sturgeon and her parents by Samuel Sturgeon, is located in Cope Music Hall next to the Music Office. The collection of reference books, scores and recordings was begun by a generous donation by Mrs. Ella Wilcox Presley and the Carnegie Foundation. Presently, there are over 9000 recordings in CD and electronic resource formats, over 7000 music scores, a music reference collection, and approximately 15 current music periodicals in the library. 4000 books and bound periodicals and microfilm about music are housed at the Main library.
The Sturgeon Music Library includes four computer stations with CD and DVD playing capability as well as access to the Campus Network and library system. There is an AV room with stereo equipment, a television, DVD and VCR players, and a study area.
Regular Academic Year Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 11p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday: CLOSED
- Sunday: 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.
