Summer Sessions 2014

Session I   (May 12 - 30)  
Session II   (June 2 - July 25)  

SUMMER SCHEDULE
All classes may be viewed in Self-Service.  Choose the term -  Summer I or Summer II and you can scroll through all the courses being offered.  Students may take only one course in Summer Session I.  A maximum of two courses may be taken during Session II.  Students requesting an exception to this policy must obtain permission from the Dean of the University.

TRANSIENT STUDENTS
Students who attend another institution - and want to attend Mount Union this summer -  must complete the Transient Student Application Form and submit it to the Mount Union Office of the Registrar.  At the end of the session, transient students may order an official Mount Union transcript for their home institutions.  This may be done in person or by using an online form.

TUITION
Payment in full for each summer session is due a week before the classes begin. If unpaid, the course will be dropped from your schedule. Tuition for summer 2014 will be $360 per credit hour. Please send payment to: University of Mount Union, Cashier, 1972 Clark Ave., Alliance OH  44601. A $50 fee will be charged for late registration in each session; please see calendar for those deadlines.

WITHDRAWAL
If you must withdraw from a course, a withdrawal form must be signed as soon as possible.  It is critical that you notify the Office of the Registrar immediatelyFailure to withdraw properly may result in a failing grade and tuition owed for the class.

REFUND POLICY

The charges for tuition and fees assessed the student are based on the number of calendar days (including weekend days) enrolled in direct proportion to the number of calendar days in the specific summer session.  The student who withdraws after 60% of the session is completed will be charged for the whole session.  See University Catalogue for return of financial aid funds.

UNIVERSITY STORE 
The University Store summer hours will be 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
. The bookstore is not open on Saturdays in the summer except for special events on campus.

LIBRARY
The library will be open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The library will be closed for holidays. 

PARKING
A special parking permit is not needed during the summer.  However, it is important to observe parking restrictions, i.e., handicapped parking, yellow curbs, visitor spaces, etc.

ID CARD
Students can obtain a Mount Union ID card at the Card Office behind the Information Desk in the Hoover Price Campus Center.  An ID card is needed to check out library books, etc.  There is no charge for this card.  Please call (330) 821-2881 to make an appointment to arrange for the card. 

CAMPUS NETWORK AND INTERNET ACCESS
All Mount Union students have access to the campus network and the internet.  New students will be given a Computer User Information Packet with a user name, email address, and instructions concerning general procedures and the Technology Resources Acceptable Use Policy. The campus HelpDesk is located in the Kolenbrander-Harter Information Center, phone (330) 829-8726. Summer hours at the HelpDesk are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Computer labs are located in the Hoover-Price Campus Center and the Kolenbrander-Harter Information Center.
