The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center will hold "Tips for Environmental Educators"
April 13, 2010
"Tips for Environmental Educators," a program planned for North Eastern Ohio Education Association Day, will be held at the John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center on Friday, October 10. This is an event geared for teachers and others who are interested.
The program will encourage educators to use nature as the link to connect students and curriculum. Nature can provide concrete opportunities for discovering things and applying those discoveries to real life.
Charleen Race will guide guests, who will spend the morning sampling activities from the major "Projects," (WET, Wild, Learning Tree and others) and the afternoon gathering tips from local resource individuals.
The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will run until 3:30 p.m. Participants should bring a brown bag lunch and dress appropriately for the weather. Registration is required. Call the Nature Center at (330) 823-7487 to register.
The Nature Center is located 6 miles south of Mount Union College on Daniel Street, just off of Route 183.
