The Salzedo Harp Duo to Perform at Mount Union College September 15

Mount Union College Department of Music is hosting a guest artist concert by the Salzedo Harp Duo on Monday, September 15 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.
Nancy Lendrim and Jody Guinn comprise the duo and have been playing together in harp ensembles and orchestras for twenty-five years.
The pair released their first CD in June of 2004 and are preparing to release another in Spring of 2008. Their repertoire includes works by 20th century French composers, a number of contemporary compositions and Carlos Salzedo. Both women studied at the Salzedo School in Camden, Maine and under the direction of Salzedo’s protégé and successor, Alice Chalfioux.
Lendrim is originally from Williamsburg, Virginia and has performed across the country and in Austria and Switzerland. A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music, she is currently a professor at the University of Toledo and is on the faculty at Heidelberg College. She serves as president of the Northwest Ohio chapter of the American Harp Society. She also founded Northwest Ohio Harp Week.
Guinn has also performed throughout America and Europe and has performed with the Three Tenors, Barry Manilow, Ray Charles, Josh Groban and Clay Aiken. Guinn is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music and is currently on the faculty of Westminster College and Malone College.
