Thomas Petzinger, Jr. to present Heffern Lecture at Mount Union College

Thomas Petzinger Jr., co-founder and chief executive officer of LaunchCyte LLC, will present the Heffern Lecture on March 14 at 7 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall of Mount Union College.
Before co-founding LaunchCyte LLC, a Pittsburgh-based biotechnology development company, Petzinger spent 22 years as a reporter, editor and columnist with The Wall Street Journal. He served as The Journal's deputy Washington bureau chief, Washington economics editor, millennium editor and weekly 'Front Lines' columnist.
Petzinger is the author of three best-selling business books, two of them selected as 'Notable Books of the Year' by The New York Times.
In connection with his LaunchCyte role, Petzinger serves as an executive vice president of Knopp Neurosciences Inc., as chairman of Crystalplex Corp., as treasurer of Reaction Biology Corp., as chairman of Immunietrics Inc. and as a director of Proteopure Inc. and Celsense Inc.
Petzinger earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism from Northwestern University and serves on the board of the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Association.
The Gordon Heffern Business Ethics Lecture was established by Mount Union College Trustee Gordon E. Heffern to encourage dialogue about the practical ways in which spirituality can transform the workplace. Heffern, a graduate of the University of Virginia, served as chairman of the board of Society Corporation before retiring in 1987.
