Trumpet and Percussion Ensembles to Perform

Trumpet and percussion ensembles will perform at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 in Presser Recital Hall on the campus of the University of Mount Union.

The trumpet ensemble, directed by lecturer of trumpet R. Chris Hall, will perform selections including “Rejoice, Ye Pure in Heart” by Arthur H. Messiter, “Rondo Alla Turca” by Wolfgang A. Mozart and “Riu, Riu, Chi,” a traditional Spanish carol.

Members of the trumpet ensemble are community member Alan Howenstine, senior computer science major Rebecca Jackson of North Royalton, senior music education major Jacques Mathias of New Philadelphia, sophomore music education major Erin Miller of Canton, senior music education major Steven Roshong of Massillon, freshman communication major Ryan Smith of Minerva and sophomore music education major Andrew Whitman of Doylestown.

The percussion ensemble will perform Conga Mix by J.B. Smith, #33 by John Bergamo and hitzackerwasserspiel by Matthias Kaul.

The concert will feature senior biology major Brian Archer of Fairview Park, junior finance major Joey Forchione of Canton, senior exercise science major Kyle Misch of Richmond Heights, freshman Mark Amabeli of Alliance, freshman music education major Lizi Glanemann of Clyde, freshman music education major Jacob Husted of Carrollton, senior music education major Kimber Stevenson of Uniontown and junior music education major Keith Wilson of Canton.
